Fineliner is a beautiful and clean responsive WordPress theme that is perfectly suitable for building any portfolio or business websites.
The theme basically has six accent colors and you can adjust more using the Style Customizer module. It also comes with the powerful Visual Composer page builder so creating any page layouts has never been easier and no coding required. Another premium LayerSlider plugin for managing wonderful sliders is included, too!
The theme supports the WPML plugin for creating a multilingual site to support your visitors from all around the world. Lastly, would you like to open your own shop online? Go ahead and use the WooCommerce plugin with the theme.
What’s New in Fineliner 2
More Social Network Icons and Display Location
Now there are more social network icons available in the theme from Font Awesome. You can also choose to display the icons on either the footer, header or both locations in the theme. You can find the new options in “Theme Options > Social Network”.
No More Hard Cropping
Freely upload your images for the home slider, portfolio slider and blog’s feature images with a new way of how the theme handles the display of those images. Now there is no hard cropping applied anymore which means that your images will be scaled down to fit the area with flexible height.
Image “srcset” Implementation
The images of the home slider and portfolio slider now have “srcset” attribute included in the tag. This lets the browsers know which is an appropriate image size to display on different viewports.
Custom Template for VC Post Grid Element
We have provided a new XML file for separate import for the theme’s custom template for VC Post Grid element. After importing, just choose “Theme’s Default Style” from the list on the Item Designs tab of the element. This will make the look of the element goes smoothly with the overall design of the theme.

> Fixed blog post content not showing up properly on mobile (fineliner-responsive.css)
> Updated theme's thumbnail (screenshot.png)

Hi, this theme looks great. I have some presale questions.
ReplyDelete1) Is it possible to have multiple portfolios that are filterable, in different places in the site?
2) Can portfolio items be added to multiple categories and can there be unlimited categories?
3) I want to use the ‘Single Page – Portrait View’ layout for all my portfolio items regardless of the dimensions, as I prefer the info on the right side. However there won’t be much content here on my site, so is it easy to adjust the width of the image to be wider and make the right text sidebar smaller? I’m OK with CSS.
4) Some of the portfolio artworks will be sold. I will have a sold category for these, but Is there a way I can set items in this category to show a ‘sold’ marker of some kind, such as a small red dot over the corner of the thumbnail? I have seen this on some gallery websites and it would be great if my customers could see from the thumbs if an item is available or not (without having to filter the portfolio). Hope this makes sense!
Thanks in advance.
Hi there!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your interest!
1. Yes, it is. You can add, for example, a portfolio with Fasion and Landscape categories on homepage and the other one with Wedding and Portrait on another page (or they can also be on the same page).
2. Yes. Each portfolio item can be assigned to many categories and you can create many categories as you want. It is just like when you create a blog post and blog categories.
3. Yes. You can use child theme, then edit the template of the portfolio single page for more width on the image side.
4. Yes. You can use CSS pseudo-elements to add a “sold” icon image on the portfolio item.
Thanks for your reply!
ReplyDelete1) And they’ll still be filterable right?
2) Perfect
3) Great, I can probably figure this out once I buy the theme.
4) Can I set this up with CSS so any portfolio item in the category ‘Sold’ will automatically have this icon image? Or will it have to be manual for each portfolio item?
Thanks again!
1. Right!
ReplyDelete4. Yes. The CSS will apply to most “sold” items using the specific class of the “sold” category as a key selector.
Perfect! Thanks for taking the time….question #1 was a dealbreaker for me.
ReplyDeleteYou’re welcome!
ReplyDeleteFor some reason when I click on the mobile menu on any phone like iphone or android phone, it never display the mobile menu and all I see in the browser address bar is like mysite.com/# any advice is appreciated
ReplyDeleteHello!
ReplyDeleteCould you please send me the URL so I can check?
And what version are you using? If you are not using the latest version of the theme, please try updating it first and see if it helps.
?hello,
ReplyDeletei have the problem that after the newest update the home slider is not directly visible on my iphone. it always loads and loads…
Hi there!
ReplyDeleteCould you send me the URL of your site? Also please try clearing all the cache and test it again.
Note that your support is already expired. Please consider extending the support on the item page ( http://themeforest.net/item/fineliner-responsive-portfolio-wordpress-theme/6363903 )
Cache is already cleared, i think it is a bug after update. https://ritas-eisdiele.de
ReplyDeleteI just checked the default theme v1.9.0 on my iPhone from both local server and online server ( http://themes.uxbarn.com/wp/fineliner/ ) but could not find the issue. The slider can be displayed normally.
ReplyDeleteActually the issue like this has been fixed in the old version of the theme. Please make sure that you have replaced all the theme files with the latest version’s and clear all caches.
Also, you can try to disable the plugins one by one to check whether any of them is the cause.
Note that your support is already expired. To get further support, please extend the support on the item page ( http://themeforest.net/item/fineliner-responsive-portfolio-wordpress-theme/6363903 )
I am having team members disappear. Nothing has changed, I moved a team member and two disappeared (my wife’s us one of them, she’s the owner of the salon, not good not to have hers). I can’t get either back up. Their profile/portfolio pages work fine, I’ve even deleted them and added them back, can you help me? I did update a couple of plugins, however, everything was fine after the upgrades. This has happened before, deleting everything from the team member and re-creating it worked…until today. This is all I know.
ReplyDeleteI just noticed that even though the team member is being seen in the “classic mode” visual editor, they are not showing up in the Backend editor. I cannot find the member ID so that I can try simply copying and pasting one that I know works and substituting the team member’s name and ID in the appropriate place to see if that works.
ReplyDeleteHi there!
ReplyDeleteSorry but I could not see the Purchase badge here. Please post with the account that made a purchase.
Or, if the theme is purchased from another account that is not yours, you can ask the account owner to get the purchase code then you can open a ticket here https://uxbarn.ticksy.com/ using that code.
Thanks!
I purchased our website via a company called Oncore Media (or one of their subsidiaries – it’s been a couple of years), who has been out of business for quite some time now. Oncore built the site for us, we paid them for everything. This is the only account I have.
ReplyDeleteSo in this case, I would suggest to talk to the person who was in charge of your website building. He or she should still have the ThemeForest account that made a purchase of this theme.
ReplyDeletePlease ask him/her for the purchase code of Fineliner theme then you can open a support ticket at http://uxbarn.ticksy.com/ using that code.
Sorry for the inconvenience but for the support process, we generally would need to verify the purchase of the item. Hope you understand.
As I stated they are long gone and it’s been years. Emails don’t work, phones don’t work, there’s a new company at their old address. I never met any of them it was a company we hired to give us the foundation and I added the content. I’ve never seen or heard of a purchase code…but I get it, you won’t help me because the company who was apparently re-selling your template never gave me some code (that I didn’t know to ask for) and I’m guessing you can not look that company up either. So I am out of luck, even though I paid good money for the template, it wasn’t directly through you, I can’t get any help. From my perspective that really stinks, but from yours I suppose I understand. You can’t even tell me how I find the team member ID?
ReplyDeleteIt is just how digital products work. And it is how the support on ThemeForest works. You either need a purchase code of the product or, your account can be verified using the Purchase badge.
ReplyDeleteIt is just like that. There is a standard process which applies to everyone. Don’t you think it has to be fair for other customers as well?
Anyway, thanks for understanding the situation from my perspective.
For your case, to find the member ID, you can use the “Reveal IDs” plugin. Just install and activate it and the team member ID will be displayed on the ID column.
I understand. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteAll my blog pages contain this heading:
ReplyDeleteOUR BLOG

Not exactly what I want. Is there a way to change this?
Please ignore. I found it under Pages.
