The Most User Friendly Responsive Magento Theme
- Everything responsive, even all tables
- All pages are customized: Catalog Pages, Shopping Cart, One Page Checkout, Multiple Address Checkout, Customer Account Pages and all other pages!
- Custom lightbox effect for main product images and terms & conditions
- Tabs on product page (displayed as an accordion on small screens)
Super Fast Loading Time
It’s not enough to just have a mobile optimised website, it’s vital that its performance meets customer expectations.
The importance of speed for mobile commerce
A 1-second delay in page load time equals 11% fewer page views, a 16% decrease in customer satisfaction, and 7% loss in conversions.
(In dollar terms, this means that if your site typically earns £10,000 a day, this year you could lose £250K in sales).
According to Aberdeen Group
Loading Time Negative Example: How It Should Not Be
Performance Analysis by http://gtmetrix.com. Check your own online shop! To simulate various connection speeds (2G, 3G etc.), you need to create a free account.
Optimized User Experience On Tablet, Smartphone And PC
More than responsive! Elements are not just stacked on top of each other on small screens. Header, footer and content are optimized for limited space, to prevent endless page scrolling.
- Touch enabled slideshow on home page
- Touch enabled carousels for related products, up-sell products, thumbnail images on product page, new products widget, recently viewed products widget, recently compared products widget
- Big, finger-friendly buttons / navigation on touch devices
Compact Mobile Header (App-Like)

Smart Coloring
The configuration file gives you control over any color, box-shadow, border, text-shadow and border-radius of the theme (the “style”). Well, that’s nice.
But who really wants to change all this values?
With Smart Coloring it’s easy. You can change the “Dominant Color” from green to a dark red and the “Base Color” from light beige to a light gray.
All gradients and shades of the colors are calculated automatically. You have to enter only one value! See the result below:
Straight Forward Design
Sophisticated in its simplicity, clear, restrained and stripped of all unnecessary elements, the UX Pearlwhite theme is suitable for a wide range of online shops.
Its design concentrates on the basics, presenting your products in the best light without distraction.
What Does UX Pearlwhite Have Over Other Premium Themes?
Many other Magento Premium themes focus mainly on creating an appealing home page, but do not maintain the level of design quality on the following pages.
We go the decisive extra step: with UX Pearlwhite you can expect consistent quality and uniform design throughout your online shop, providing the optimum user experience down to
the smallest detail.
Retina Display Ready
- Use of icon fonts instead of images (icon fonts look sharp on retina displays)
- Content images could be rendered in double resolution (configurable over local.xml)
Sub-Theming
UX Pearlwhite is – in Magento terms – a “design package”. This means you can create your own custom themes based on UX Pearlwhite.
Sass Enabled
Sass adds variables, functions, mixins and more to CSS, which makes the “Smart Coloring” of the theme possible.
Support For Different Image Formats & Styles
Rectangular and square format images are supported.
Choose between isolated images on white background and normal images with colored background. This will affect the spacing around images and if borders between images are displayed or not.
Available Languages
- English (en_US)
- German (de_DE)
More languages could easily be added over the Magento translation files.
Note: Category and product images are not included.

Hi,
ReplyDeleteI tried contact to you via Support form, and in your website, but I had no luck. I have Magento 1.9.1 and Sass do not work. Do you have any idea?
Tobi,
ReplyDeletethanks for the great theme. This might be a quick one:
How do I put some content in the right column of a product page?
There is only some odd poll popping up. Other static blocks won’t show up.
Any ideas?
Bgrds
Hi,
ReplyDeletemost sidebar boxes are removed. You can add them via the local.xml file of the theme. Look for <reference name=”left”> and <reference name=”right”> inside the <default> handle. The theme comes also with a file called local_sidebar_boxes_enabled.xml. Here you can see how the sidebar boxes are “activated”.
Best regards
Ahh I see! I’m not really into magento. But I got a bit closer.
ReplyDeleteThx mate
Sorry, but now I got something for you, I guess. When you want to add something to the shoppingcart in the mobile category-view, the click won’t reach the button. There’s an ‘a’ above above the button, which is taking you to the product-page. That’s not only at my installation but also at yours. Just narrow your browser to the mobileview and you’ll able to reproduce this behavior. (plain html/css issue). Brgds
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteadding a product directly to the shopping cart from the category page only works with simple products. For configurable products you will be redirected to the product page to choose your options.
Best regards
ok… at our site it’s with simple products too. at yours not (the hats for example). anyhow, we are rebuilding the site. maybe the problem is gone. thx
ReplyDeleteAh, ok. Then you probably don’t use the newest version of the theme. In older versions this was really a bug, but it was fixed. Make sure you use the default.js (skin folder) of the newest version of the theme.
ReplyDeleteBest regards
Hi
ReplyDeleteThe template is fast but not that fast http://gtmetrix.com/reports/demo.ux-templates.com/zS1uNVrN
According to the file size this should be faster.
I am interested in this template but I am concerned that it will not be that fast
Thank you
Scott
Hi Scott,
ReplyDeleteit will be faster if you have an optimized server (PHP, MySQL) and use some caching system like Varnish. The demo shop runs on a “normal” hosting plan without a third-party cache.
Hi Tobi,
ReplyDeleteWhen will you upgrade the theme to the latest Magento release.
Regards.
Hi,
ReplyDeletethere is currently no time frame for an update.
Best regards
Tobi,
ReplyDeletesorry to bother you again. Is there a simple way to show the ‘short description’ on the product overview pages? I switch this on in system > configuration etc. but this has no effect.
I really appreciate your support. It’s quite brilliant.
brgds
Hi,
ReplyDeleteby default the short description is only shown in the list view, but not in the grid view. Open the file app\design\frontend\ux-templates\default\template\catalog\product\list.phtml and add this code
<?php echo $_helper->productAttribute($_product, $_product->getShortDescription(), ‘short_description’) ?>
to the grid mode part (maybe after the price).
Best regards
Hi,
ReplyDeleteDoes The theme work with ce 1.9.1?
Is it ok to use with multistore setup?
Tanks
Hi, the theme is only compatible with Magento 1.9.0.1. A multistore setup is no problem.
ReplyDeleteBest regards
Hi Tobias,
ReplyDeletegreat Theme! so far everything is good ….
But the following error occurs suddenly:
exception ‘SassFunctionDefinitionNodeException’ with message ‘Invalid Function: /usr/www/users/USERXX/FOLDERXX/skin/frontend/ux-templates/main/css/components/_mixins.scss::182
Source: @function get-S-of- HSB ’ in /usr/www/users/USERXX/FOLDERXX/lib/phpsass/tree/SassFunctionDefinitionNode.php:51
error occurs here:
/* Convert HSL saturation to HSB saturation
*/
@function get-S-of- HSB {
$sHSL: 0 + (saturation($color) / 100%);
$l: 0 + (lightness($color) / 100%);
$b: (2$l + $sHSL * (1 – (2$l – 1))) / 2;
$sHSB: (2($b – $l)) / $b;
@return $sHSB*100;
}
The only traceable change to the system: BaseUrl change
I need support!
EDIT
ReplyDeleteThe only way to continue coding was:
in /usr/www/users/USERXX/FOLDERXX/lib/phpsass/tree/SassFunctionDefinitionNode.php:51
comment out >>>>
/throw new SassFunctionDefinitionNodeException(‘Invalid Function’, $token);/
But that is not the solution!
Hi Tobi,
ReplyDeleteWhen is the theme going to be upgraded?
You are way behind now!
