I am now having a very strange issue. It is only in Chrome browser, and only when I access my site without the https prefix. The arrows and other symbols are replaced by strange, foreign-looking ones, like some other font. While you may not see it, the issue occurs with www.olelarsonsfolks.net, but not at https://olelarsonsfolks.net.
ReplyDeleteYes, we are aware of this problem. Please contact us via http://mekshq.com/contact with your website URL so we can help you out and provide fix for this.
ReplyDeleteThe problem is resolved, at least temporarily. Let’s close this topic, I have another one to open.
ReplyDeleteOK, thank you
ReplyDeleteHi
ReplyDeleteHow would i change the home page to look more like a standard homepage or static.
I want to use the template for my public speaking business. I want highlight my services and various programs. They ultimately be pages, but I want them to be clickable on the home page as well.
You can set standard WordPress page to be your home page and you will have full control via content/text editor so you can add anything you want there
ReplyDeleteIs there css that will allow me to use featured images narrower that 1100 px, and position them on the right, or centered, in the slider and post headings (rather than on the left)?
ReplyDeleteThis can probably be done with additional css in theme options. Please contact us via http://mekshq.com/contact with your website URL so we can have a closer look and help you out

I sent this on a contact form this morning, but have not heard back. Am also inquiring with my new hosting provider, siteground.com. If I can’t fix this soon, I will have to stop using this theme.
UPDATE: Here is the reply from my host’s tech support:

Hello George,
It appears that you have used a custom setup for your Wordpress application, so you should indeed discuss the issue with your website developer.
However, I noticed the following error in my browser’s console:
Code:
Cross-Origin Request Blocked: The Same Origin Policy disallows reading the remote resource at http://olelarsonsfolks.net/Blog/wp-content/themes/safarica/css/font/fontello.woff?57024874. This can be fixed by moving the resource to the same domain or enabling CORS.

I hope this is the information you need to help me correct this issue. As it is, I am not getting my money’s worth from the Safarica theme.
We have sent you an email, we will check this very soon!
ReplyDeleteI love this theme, wonderful for my education blog that I have just set up. Wonderful work
ReplyDeleteI have looked through past comments to see if this had already been asked, but couldn’t see it.
Is it possible to lower/move the slide post title? Sometimes it’s perfect on the left, just above middle, but then sometimes it’s always over my face!!! haha. I should plan a better photo really to stop this happening….but is there any way I can override it and lower it?
No worries if not – I’ll just remove it and do something in photoshop when I upload the slider image. Just thought I’d ask.
Many thanks.
Stuart
Thanks a lot for your words!
ReplyDeleteI guess this can be possible with simple css modification. Can you please contact us to support@mekshq.com with your website URL giving us example of what you are trying exactly?
How do you add a background image and then use the background pattern to overlay it such as was done in the demo?
ReplyDeleteTake a look at Theme Options -> Colors and you will find both options for background image and pattern. If you need any further help please contact us via http://mekshq.com/contact with your website URL and we will explain in more details if necessary
ReplyDeleteHello, I purchased you theme about a year and a half ago, and two sites are running with it. Suddenly, on both sites I have the same issue : in Chrome (and only in Chrome), the logo on the top left doesn’t show anymore. Andy ideas about fixing this ?

Cheers
Can this theme construct a Home Page that doesn’t have Blog Posts (without changing code)
ReplyDeleteI’ve been using Safarica for a while now and absolutely love it! I’m thinking about installing WooCommerce and want to make sure the two are compatible. I saw a YouTube video where someone mentioned that WooCommerce may cause some shifts if the theme is not compatible.
ReplyDeleteHi
ReplyDeleteYou are right, theme is not 100% WooCommerce compatible, but I’m sure that with some minor fixes and modificaitons here and there you can make it work with WooCommerce.
I hope that this helps
Cheers
Okay, thanks for the quick reply.
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome
ReplyDeleteI bought your theme SeaShell and since I had great experience with it I am interested to buy now this Safarica theme.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I am a bit concerced of the actuality of the theme since it is almost a year it has been updated.
Are you continuing to develope / update the theme? Are there any problems with current version of WP and / or any other popular plugins?
Hi,
ReplyDeleteYou do not have to worry at all. Safarica is fully compatible with the latest version of WP. And if there was any issue, we would push an update as soon as possible
Hello, Does this theme has a mailchimp integration?
