What resolution and file size would you recommend for the main header image. It slows down the smartphone website and is eating a lot of data. Also, at times it is difficult to scroll on an iphone, because the screen sticks at any points with a slider. (portfolio preview slider, testimonial slider…)

for the second question, i would recommend 1,260px × 1,077px size, Also it depends on your connection speed!

ReplyDeleteThe header image is already responsive and it fits the screen size (background-size:cover),
There is another option is to add custom background image per resolution,
example :
@media (max-width: 360px) {
.slide2 {
background-image: url(”../img/demo/header/slide2.jpg”);
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-size: cover;
}
}
