For SEO reasons I would like to get rid of the ”/portfoli-items/” in the urls, but still want them to work like they do now. Is there a way to get rid of this on every item in the url somehow?

Hi, thank you for your kind words, I appreciate it. Each custom post has a unique slug in the URL, this is how WordPress handles custom posts and it is available no matter the theme you use. You can hack the URL by adding some rewrite rules like this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/remove-slug-from-custom-post-type/ does – unfortunately I can’t offer support for such changes, so you are on your own with this requirement specific to your project. Hope this helps.
ReplyDeleteI just noticed the slider images on the homepage of the theme don’t retain any ALT tag information.

Hi, I will take a look at this problem and try to come up with a solution to it in the next theme update. Alt tags barely influence SEO in my opinion and I think you should focus more on the text content for the homepage – use a plugin like https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-seo/ to better handle this task. ReplyDeleteHi, thank you for your interest – the theme doesn’t have official compatibility with WooCommerce and wasn’t tested with any other e-commerce plugins. With some custom changes you could add such functionality easily. Hope this helps.

ReplyDeleteHi, you can use the Custom CSS field available in the Theme Options panel and adjust the font-size for your desired page elements. Here’s an example snippet:

Hi, thank you for your purchase – the staff template page is automatically populated (content is not editabled) so you’ll need to customize the template-staff.php file (preferably in a child theme) to add any custom features to it. You could also try to achieve this via a Custom CSS snippet involving a :nth-child and :after selectors. Hope this helps.

ReplyDeleteJust started working with the theme and have a quick question, I need to change the color of the area/box where the logo nests, could not find it via theme options. Do I need to edit style.css?
ReplyDeleteIt is not recommended to alter the theme directly. You can use the Theme Options > Custom CSS field to tweak the theme style, in this case the logo background:
ReplyDelete#logo h1 { background: red; }
This background color is usually the Base Color selected in the Theme Options > Style Settings, but can be modified using CSS like I mentioned.
