    Hello,


    I could not find any information about this issue, it would be helpful if you could make this more clear.


    your installation instructions for magento ‘essentials’ direct me to:
    “Once the installation is done, upload all the files you find in the “theme-files” folder on the root of your server.”


    Does this mean “overwrite” any existing files?

    Yes, in fact there are no files to overwrite, it only merge some folders on the server. So it is uploading some files exactly in the right folders.

    ok.
    so, you are saying: when I upload the theme files, i should choose to ‘merge’ files, instead of ‘overwrite existing’? There are files from the magento upload, in the root directory, with the same names. This what I am concerned about.

    The products I have entered show up on frontend, but descriptions do not. How do I make descriptions show up?

    You need to enable the EasyTabs. Can you see that section in the documentation? If not, please re-download the latest files because they were updated. Thank you!

    OK, I got the easy tabs working with the new documentation. Description tab is now available. Description shows up if you click on the tab. But short description is not visible. I think it should be visible with the product photograph.


    How can I make the short description visible?

    The short description is available in the list mode. So when you are choosing a category and see multiple products, choose the list mode instead of grid mode and you will see the short descriptions.

    Yes, in your admin area follow those steps:


    System – configuration – catalog – frontend – list mode


    You decide
    - grid only
    - list only
    - grid (default)/list
    - list (default)/grid
