  1. Hi,

We have a lot of products.

    - We hope user can have front-end panel to input their product series on it. Can it do it?

    - Every client can have their own font-end ticket panel?

    - Is it include member register custom field?

    Thanks!

  2. Hi

The theme does have a search feature, but does not have a front end ticket system or membership option.

There may be third party plugins for this though but I have not tested any with the theme.

    Cheers

  3. Hi ThemeBeans! You guys do beautiful work and I’m thinking of purchasing Base. I have three questions: 1) Is it compatible with the latest version of Wordpress? 2) Can I post and search PDF documents into Base for visitors to find using Base’s search box? and 3) Can the social icons/links on the bottom of the homepage (and others) be moved to the top of the page? Social is really important! Looking ahead to your answers. Thanks!

  4. Bumping, hoping for answers to my 3 Qs.

  5. Heyo! Goodness! I’m so sorry I missed your comment! Sometimes comments never make it to the author dashboard

Anyhow. Yes, it is compatible with the current version of WordPress. Regarding the searching question, the search is the standard WordPress functionality, where it searches pages and posts for your content. If you create a page with content relevant to the PDF, then add the PDF link to that page – then that will indeed show up.

The social links cannot be moved without a little custom modification, but I like that idea!

    Cheers!

  6. Hi Rich! Could you take a quick look at this wordpress org plug-in for embedding PDFs (I think with javascript?) into posts and pages and tell me if your theme’s search will also search the embedded PDFs the plugin embeds? Or would it only search the post or page title and not the embedded PDF?

    ReplyDelete
  7. Oops, forgot the link: https://wordpress.org/plugins/pdf-embedder/

    ReplyDelete
  8. Sure thing. Quick question though. Do you mean to search the actual PDFs, or search for the PDF files?

    ReplyDelete
  9. My first priority is to search the content of the actual PDFs.

  10. I tried getting that plugin to work, but i was having trouble finding out how to use it correctly. :/

  11. Hi, thinking about purchasing…can users be logged into the app, therefore logged into this site? ie, we only want our web app users to see / access this site…

    Thank you!

    ReplyDelete
  12. Yup, you can restrict the site to logged in visitors only – or you can even make it where paid users have access using a plugin such as Restrict Content Pro.

  13. I have purchased your theme and am using it with Heroic Knowledge Base Plugin. The search function on the Home template does not seem to pick up content on the articles within the assigned knowledge base. Title, content, categories, etc. all cannot be searched within the search function for the home template. Is there a way to force the search to also search the knowledge base articles? I’m not sure how they are classified to be different than what the theme would consider a searchable page. I have tested this with other themes and their search functions are able to “find” the knowledge base articles. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Hi ThemeBeans! The search bar on the main page does not do any searches of related worlds included on content of pages, gives the information: “Hi ThemeBeans! The search bar on the main page does not do any searches of related worlds.”

The same thing occurs inside Worldpress Administration (pages), when I try to search the name of a created page title on the search page button, appears: “No page found.”

Can you please assist me on this issue.

    Thanks in advance!

  17. Hi, I need to update my server to PHP7 and WP Engine’s PHP7 compatibility checker tool is saying that there are errors with the Base theme, please could you provide a fix. These are the errors:

    FILE: /nas/content/staging/vapelocation/wp-content/themes/base/lib/admin/options/validation/preg_replace/validation_preg_replace.phpFOUND 1 ERROR AFFECTING 1 LINE32 | ERROR | preg_replace() – /e modifier is deprecated since PHP 5.5 and removed since PHP 7.0

    Many thanks

  18. Hey there!

We’ve been working towards PHP 7 compatibility for all of our themes and we’re finally there (screenshot).

  21. Hi, still thinking about purchasing this Base theme and I noticed that near the $60 Regular License ‘Buy Now’ button on ThemeForest, it says “ThemeBeans does not support this item.” Is this true?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Hi there! We support all of our themes – we’ve just opted out of the support charges/packages that ThemeForest offers.

  23. Hey Rich! I’m still knocking the cobwebs and pebbles in my brain to figure out how Base would search thru the content of lots of PDFs I would need to have uploaded into the theme’s media library. How about this idea… Could I use the standard Wordpress “Link” format to go to a PDF’s URL? Would this allow me to skip attaching the PDFs to a Page? Then would the Wordpress standard search that Base uses work to find the contents (not just the title) of the PDFs I loaded into the media library?

  24. My mistake, I posted this in another unrelated thread which you can delete if you want. Here’s my new questions cut ‘n’ pasted here:

  25. Okay Rich, unfortunately I can’t wait any longer for a response. My project partner is in a hurry and so I have to try to make something happen and work out any problems searching PDFs using your theme this weekend, before Monday!!! I’m going to purchase the Base theme now then say a prayer that I can figure out how to do what we need to do or find a compatible plugin that extends the WP search function. Your input would have been appreciated. If I contact you as a purchaser on Monday, you’ll know that I’m having some trouble and I hope you’ll be able to help. Thanks, mate!
