Theme Features
Responsive Design – This means you website will automatically adjust its layout and proportions to suit the device it is being viewed on. The theme content will be easy to read and easy to navigate whether it is being viewed on a desktop computer, a tablet or a mobile device.
SEO (Search Engine Optimization)

When you say “make sure your theme files are writeable” does that mean change the Phrase folder, in its entirety to 666? I went into wp-content/themes/ (where all theme folders are 755), and the index file in wp-content is 644.
ReplyDeleteThe wp-content/wp-phrase/css folder is currently 755 , but all the indivdual files in that folder are 644.
Are these the files that need to be changed? and to what numbers please?

Yes, I saw that link. No. it doesn’t help really. It says this:Additional directories under /wp-content/ should be documented by whatever plugin / theme requires them. Permissions will vary.
ReplyDeleteIs there a reason you don’t want to be specific about what files need what permissions? I’ve installed probably 30 wordpress themes on this (hostgator) server. I’ve never had these issues, until this theme.
During the initial install, wp showed a bunch of code, rather than “install succeeded” but I followed the steps in your help file, with the warnings about “options reset.” obviously it was warning there was a problem with the file.
If I can’t get a helpful answer from you, I’ll try re-installing. If I still have problems, I guess I’ll move on to another theme, and write off that purchase price. Obviously this is a problem with the theme, several other people have asked for help with this, and received only vague answers.
By default, for 99% customers no need to worries about this. In other cases, the reason lies in the incorrect WordPress installation or theme installation (or files permissions).

Zerge logged into my admin, and could not find a problem with my permissions or installation. The problem was not really resolved. Somewhere there is a conflict that has not been addressed. I moved onto another theme, but I recommend that other buyers who run into this problem take a look at any Cache plugins, or Jetpack, which now activates a LONG list plugins you may not be aware of.

Well, I posted to the support forum, and got no reply other than “answered by email.” AND I made a screen-capture video showing you the trouble I was experiencing ( http://vimeo.com/111683663 ) So that you could see that I had installed correctly, and had my settings correct. Then you asked for admin and FTP access, which I gave you. I’m not sure how you consider that no response? After all that, here is the ENTIRETY of your reply and last email to me.

From what I can see too many h1, h2, h3 tags on post pages, where these are not necessary…
