Updates

  • Version 1.3.2:
    - Handle the WordPress 4.3 terms splitting. The upcoming WordPress 4.3 will automatically split all of the shared terms between different taxonomies, which means that it will change the IDs of those terms in the database. This can affect the theme’s elements that store references to the terms IDs. With this theme update, when a term splitting occurs, the theme will change all of the references from the old IDs to the new IDs. Please make sure to update the theme before updating WordPress to 4.3 once it is released, as the terms splitting will be performed during the WordPress upgrade process.

  • Version 1.3.1:
    - Updated the PrettyPhoto lightbox plugin to the latest version
    - Improved: Contact form – added a sender email option to avoid messages failing to be sent due to the Yahoo DMARC reject policy
    - Added: Instagram and 500px icons to the header social icons set

  • Version 1.3.0:
    - Security fix: escaped the URLs every time the add_query_arg() function is used to prevent the recently found XSS vulnerability of the add_query_arg() function
    - Improved: Replaced Timthumb image resizing script with the Aqua Resizer script
    - Improved: Updated the Envato WordPress Toolkit library to the latest version
    - Fixed: cannot save options when theme editing is disabled
    - Other minor bug fixes and improvements

  • Version 1.2.0:
    - Fixed some compatibility issues with the upcoming WordPress 3.9 (more details in the Updates section of the documentation)
    - WooCommerce improvements – added a woocommerce.php template to improve the layout and style
    - Twitter share text – always include the title of the shared post/page
    - Fixed an issue with the blog page template pagination, when the page is set as a front page
    - Other minor bug fixes and improvements

  • Version 1.1.0:
    - WordPress 3.6 compatibility modifications: fixed an issue with the dialogs in the admin – on WordPress 3.6 the dialogs sometimes appear behind some of the elements; removed the usage of some deprecated functions in the included jQuery 1.10
    - Updated the Nivo slider to the latest version
    - Updated Timthumb to the latest version
    - Other minor code improvements and modifications

  • Version 1.0.5:

    - Fixed an image stretching on the gallery slider on Internet Explorer 9
    - Added the featured image description in lightbox display of the portfolio gallery when no images have been added to the item, but only the featured image has been set.

  • Version 1.0.3:
-Fixed a typo that caused inserting CSS in the Additional Styles section to remove the other styles settings from the options panel
-Fixed a styling issue for the logo – repeating image under some cirumstances on some device screens
-Improved the spacing of the images inserted into the post/page content

  • Version 1.0.2:
    - Improvements in the thumbnail container positioning of the Thumbnail Slider when the autoplay functionality is enabled
    - Improved the image resizing functionality of the gallery slider for mobile devices

  1. Hi, I am interested in this theme. I like this layout http://pexetothemes.com/demos/evermore_wp/portfolio/standard-page/

Is it part of the theme design or just a default wordpress page?

    Thanks

    ReplyDelete
  2. Hi there,

The answer is both – this particular link is a portfolio post page, but the same layout can be created for regular pages as well. The gallery on this page is the default WordPress gallery, with extended design and functionality by the theme.

  3. Hi

Can we do the same thing on posts instead of pages?, so I can choose categories and tags and show Related projects. And then show these posts in the masonry layout http://pexetothemes.com/demos/evermore_wp/gallery-masonry-three-columns/

    Thanks

    ReplyDelete
  4. Another question: Does the theme support RTL, If No, can you please run the theme on a RTL website and see if it needs a lot of work or just a few things. Thanks a lot

    ReplyDelete
  5. Hi there,

I’m afraid that the theme doesn’t include an option to add a Related Posts section that is displayed in a gallery masonry layout. Otherwise, you can add simple image galleries in a masonry layout to posts (example of a masonry quick gallery here). As for your second question – unfortunately the theme doesn’t include out of the box RTL support, I’m sorry.

  6. Hello dear,
Let me explain my idea to you
I want the same as this http://pexetothemes.com/demos/evermore_wp/portfolio/full-width-slider/

The only change that I need is instead of the slider I want thumbnails and use light box to open them.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Hi. Waiting your answer!

    ReplyDelete
  8. Hi there,

Yes, you can accomplish this layout with portfolio items in a gallery – you can see an example on the Mixed Gallery page, just click on the “Standard Page” item (4th item).

    ReplyDelete
  9. Yes. But I see the standard page has no related projects

    ReplyDelete
  10. You can add related projects manually by adding the Portfolio Carousel element to the content of the item – there is an option to add this element from the editor and you can select a category to show, so it shows the items from the same category. Just to let you know that it will include the item that is currently being viewed as well.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Hi there
I don’t want to add them manually. Imagine adding them with every single project. Thanks

    ReplyDelete
  12. Unfortunately the standard page portfolio items don’t include an out of the box option to add the related projects automatically, I’m sorry. They are automatically added to Slider and Video items only.

  14. Hi,
Love the theme. Easy to use, flexible and looks great. Well done.
Just one question. Is it possible to add the ‘content slider’ into the page using a shortcode rather than in the header? Just like the service boxes.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Hi there,

Thank you for your kind words, I’m glad you like the theme

The content slider is currently available as a header slider only and unfortunately there isn’t an option to add it as a shortcode. However any well-coded 3rd party slider plugin should work well with the theme, so you may consider just searching for a similar slider plugin.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Thanks. I actually needed the content slider below the body content. So, I’ve moved the php code. Works great. Another quick question. Is it possible to hide the ‘portfolio page content’ from the ‘single page portfolio item’? The full width slider loads below the content. I’ve tried using css but it appears to load in the same page (page id).

  17. That’s great to hear! Regarding your second question – would you mind opening a ticket on our support site here:
    http://pexetothemes.com/support/
and in your ticket provide a link to the page where you would like to remove the content, so our team can take a look and see if there would be an easy way to accomplish that. Thank you!

  18. Hello! I would buy your theme as I did with Mineral, but first I have a question: can I put words on slides in home as I can do with Mineral?
In your livepreview, I don’t see any word…
    Thank you!

    ReplyDelete
  19. I’m speaking about thumbnail slider

    ReplyDelete
  20. Hi there,

Yes, you can add text to the slides – you can actually see an example on the demo – the 3rd image (the photo of a city) has a description.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Ok thank you! Is it possible to edit text and position?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Hi,

The text content can be modified from the admin panel, however there isn’t an out of the box option to change the position, so this would require some additional tweaks.

P.S. WordPress by default doesn’t include a table builder, however there are lots of free plugins that you can install to build tables (such as the MCE Table Buttons plugin).

  32. Hi. I’m using a very old version of the theme (1.1). The dashboard no longer works. If I purchase the latest version, which files need updating in order to make the site work? I’ve made some customisations (styles, header, footer).

    ReplyDelete
  33. I’ve answered my own question after a little trial and error. I replaced all files apart from the stylesheet and header.php. I do love have stable the theme is even after a big update like this. Great job.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Hi there,

    Thanks

P.S. I’m afraid there isn’t an easy way to do this – you would have to modify the JavaScript code in the portfolio-slider.js file. If your zoom code allows it, you can alternatively use a selector to access the images (e.g. ".ps-images img")

  43. Hi, I just got a new client whose site uses this theme. The version they have is old (1.1.0) and says it wants an update to 1.3.2.

Then it tells me it wants me to enter my Marketplace username and API Key, but when I go to the Pexto panel, the wait icon just spins and spins.

I have no problem telling my client that we need to buy a license. The original creator of the site is long gone. But I need to know how to enter the code so it will work.

    Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  44. Hi!

    Thanks for reaching out!

Actually in your case I strongly recommend using the manual update process if you still have access to the theme files.

Envato is retiring their API and soon the auto updates won’t be working (just via plugins).

    Kind Regards,

  45. Hi there, we are using Evermore theme, version 1.3.2. I wanted to ask whether this is the latest version or if there is a new version to download? Also, whether version 1.3.2 (or the latest version) is compatible with WordPress 4.7.2? Many thanks, Andrea

    ReplyDelete
  46. Hi!

    Thanks for reaching out!

1.3.2 is indeed the latest theme version. We have no reports of compatibility issues but if you face any troubles just let us know via support (you don’t need an active support account for that, you can submit a bug report)

    Thanks!

    Kind Regards,
