Hello,
ReplyDelete(The theme is purchased with another account).
I have a question about the number of portfolio pictures. In the theme options you can set the Number of Image Slides per slideshow.
I need 15 items, however the portfolio only show max 10 items.
Is this something programmed in the code, or am I something doing wrong?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
ReplyDeleteHow do I disable the custom fonts? My client wants Tahoma. I tried just changing the CSS, but the custom fonts are still showing up.
Thanks!!!
lily
Hi Lily,
ReplyDeleteThanks for purchasing my theme! I really appreciate it!
You can choose Tahoma from the fonts menu in Theme Options > Fonts. This is a default font so no css changes are needed.

Hi, I had a quick question, do you have any idea whether District (which I love by the way) is compatible with LearnDash? I was thinking about trying to use them together but didn’t know if LearnDash would be compatible or not. I was just curious, I know it’s a random question but I was curious if you knew.
ReplyDeleteThanks. Phenomenal theme!
Hi Bmadley,
ReplyDeleteThanks for purchasing my theme! I really appreciate it!
Unfortunately, I haven’t tested the theme with that plugin, so I can’t tell you either way whether it works or not. However, the theme doesn’t do anything super strange regarding content, so I can’t imagine there would be issues.

Thanks a lot Andre! I appreciate your help. Yeah I know, it was kind of a random question. I’m going to give it a try and I’ll let you know if it’s working well. Thanks again!
ReplyDeleteOkay, sounds good! Let me know if you find any issues!

Hello I purchased your theme , but when I opening the .zip after download but inside there is a folder called DIstrict , that’s it, there is not another .zip file where can I install it in wordpress.
ReplyDeleteSo I tried to install directly in ftp but how can I have the same images, the same slider, etc.
I would like to have exactley the same theme of you.
Becouse when I’m inside the dashboard in wordpress I can’t do nothing, I mean I can’t for example edit the css from editor, or change images from the slides.
Thanks
Hi c4b,
ReplyDeleteThanks for purchasing my theme! I really appreciate it!
When you download from Themeforest, there are two different options. You can download “All Files and Documentation” or “Installable WordPress File Only”. If you downloaded the “Installable WordPress file only”, then you don’t need to unzip it, you can just install the zip via your dashboard.
Once you installed the theme, you can install the demo content which will set up your site like the demo. The only exception, is the images because I don’t have the rights to distribute them. IInstead, you’ll see sample images that you can replace with your own. To install the demo content navigate to Theme Options > Demo Importer. Then click “Import” on the main demo thumbnail.

Hello,
ReplyDeleteAm I able to have the slide auto play?
Hi laspadab,
ReplyDeleteThanks for purchasing my theme! I really appreciate it!
Are you talking about on the homepage? You can turn that on by navigating to Theme Options > Homepage and turning “Homepage Slider Autoplay” to “Autoplay”.

What is custom CSS to change navigation color?
ReplyDeleteHi orbitd,

Does the portfolio detailed page include the possibility to add a section for people to submit feedback about that app? Something similar to the “leave a comment” section for blogs. If so, I will be purchasing.
ReplyDeleteHi Wizappo,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your interest! I’d be happy to answer any questions you may have.
You can add comments to portfolio post types if you want. However, you’d need to make a small modification to the theme since this isn’t included by default. Not a huge change, but you would need to make some modifications to the theme.
Let me know if you have any other questions,

How do I turn off the HOME link in the main nav bar. I don’t have it in my custom menu but it is displaying nonetheless. YellowCabofColumbus.com – love the theme & thank you!
ReplyDeleteHi Orbitd,
ReplyDeleteThanks for purchasing my theme! I really appreciate it!
Are you sure you don’t have it in your custom menu? The theme doesn’t add any links to the navigation automatically. I would double check that you’re editing the correct menu under Appearance > Menus and that menu is set to the correct location.

I changed the Main Nav Menu to a new custom menu and still HOME displays on the main navigation bar despite it not being w/in Appearance > Menus etc. When I delete the title ‘Home’ on the home page, the main nav auto-filled with TOP – so I placed a period w/in the title of the home page as a work around for now… this info provide any clue as to the issue?
ReplyDeleteHi Orbitd,
ReplyDeleteHmmm.. very strange. I’m not sure what’s going on. Could you start a new private topic on the Support Forum so I could get temporary admin access? I’d be happy to take a closer look. Thanks!

I tried to post in Support Forum but it errors out when linking my Envato account, and if I login using my old username/password on themewich.com/wp-admin and I try to visit the old support link it throws another warning. So, I’m just posting here in hopes of some direction as I spent a couple hours on this before hitting up support with no luck.
ReplyDeleteI have an old version of District and am afraid upgrading will break a lot and just need to fix one issue on the site, to hold this over for awhile (new site is going to be developed within the year). It is related to the button on the homepage slide not working on mobile. I’m fairly sure this issue was fixed in “Update Version 1.2.2 April 17, 2013” as you mention “9. Fixed issue with slide number in sections.” which I assume is this.
The button works fine on desktop viewing an even iPhone emulators, but on actual iPhone usage a click of the button changes it to its rollover color but does not go to the link. If you push on the phone screen over the button and hold for awhile it gives you the pop-up to open the link in a new window, but a single click does nothing. I tried updating to the newest “slide-left.php” file as well as some of the others mentioned in that changeling (functions.php, etc.) but no luck.
If you know the specific edit to fix this (seems like it’s an easy one, and you obviously caught it somewhere along the line as your latest demo has this button working fine on mobile) can you please share it so I can correct this?
Thanks,
Jed
Hi Jed,
ReplyDeleteHmmm… what errors are you getting? I’m not sure what would be going wrong with the support signup process.
That fix involved an update to the revolution slider jQuery plugin – which also involved some updated css as the slider deprecated a few things from earlier versions. The bug was with the Swipe Engine that powered the slider. You could update the revolution slider jQuery plugin (it’s included with the download) and that will fix the issue. But you’d also probably need to tweak some of the css to work with the new slider.
Unfortunately, this type of alteration would go beyond the scope of support for the theme. Complex modifications like this will require you to implement the changes yourself or hire a 3rd party programmer to assist you.
As a workaround, however, you could turn off the swipe functionality in the custom js file by finding this line:
touchenabled:"on",
And change it to this:
touchenabled:"off",

Andre, this is perfect, all I needed for the workaround, it worked great. I appreciate your help - thanks!
ReplyDeleteHello! I’m looking at purchasing this theme to build a second website for a client who used this theme for their first website. I noticed that when viewing the clients website on mobile devices, the website slider does not respond well and cuts off the image. http://mobiletest.me/iphone_5_emulator/?u=http://innospecialtyfoods.com
ReplyDeleteIs this normal or does something need to be corrected in the code?
Thank you!
Krista
Hi Krista,
ReplyDeleteThe slideshow images will be centered and always big enough to cover both the height and the width without distorting the image. So this means the edges may get cut off on some screen sizes. You can try adding this custom css into the theme options to make sure this image always aligns with the left edge of the browser:
.tp-bgimg.defaultimg {
background-position: left 50% !important;
}

My contact form for District is not submitting and know acknowledgements of emails is popping up?
ReplyDeleteno*
ReplyDeleteHi Laspadab,
ReplyDeleteThanks for purchasing my theme! I really appreciate it!
Are you getting any kind of error message? What does it say? The form doesn’t do anything special to send email – it just uses WordPress’ built-in wp_mail function.

Hey! I’m having issues adding “animate.css” into the mix. When i goto Inspect Elements and goto Network..i don’t see it loaded but when i goto “View page source” i can see it being referenced and the link is valid.
ReplyDeletePlease help!

Hi I am looking for any further documentation on the Posts Short code. You have an example of an alt homepage with blog posts. What are my options for how much of my content per blog is displayed? I can only get it do to all or none.
ReplyDeleteI see you have a blurb and a read more.
Hi Eagletron,
ReplyDeleteThanks for purchasing my theme! I really appreciate it!
The posts shortcode will display all the content of your post, unless you have an excerpt or a “Read More” tag somewhere in your post. This gives you control over how much text is shown as a preview and where the read more button is placed.

Any plans to add “sale” as an option in the pricing shortcode? This is a key feature in pricing tables to show an amount striked out with the sale amount next to it.
ReplyDeleteYour code was documented well enough I’ve gone ahead and made the change. I’d love to share it here so that others can do the same, or you can add it to a future release.
ReplyDelete1) Open the shortcodes.php file and make the changes highlighted in the first screenshot below.
2) Add the sale option to the shortcode on the page like in screenshot 2.

Hi PluginDistrict,
ReplyDeleteWow! Thanks so much for posting! This is awesome. Maybe I’ll add an additional filter for these arguments to make it more customizable in the future. Really digging your solution though.
Andre
Glad I could help! A filter would be a great idea so we wouldn’t lose our changes if we update the theme.
ReplyDeleteOn another note, my sales have increases since integrating your theme for my newest wordpress plugin http://wooticketstudio.com, so thank you! I’ve rated 5 stars but would rate much more if allowed. Keep me in mind if you need a wordpress developer for anything. Thanks!
That’s awesome to hear!! Great looking plugin. Definitely will keep you in mind for future projects.
ReplyDeleteWould you mind if I used your testimonial on the item page? I’d really appreciate it!
Andre
You sure can – take care!
ReplyDeleteThank you!!!
ReplyDeleteAndre
Thank you for your theme! Little request: can you also add a email-button to the Social Icons? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteMaybe you are interested in the following: I added in my child-theme some code (basically by copying the portfolio-code, change it for Team and put it in my functions-file) to add Team-functionality to the theme. This might be interesting for a future update of your theme. Adding Team-members becomes a lot easyer and client-friendlier this way than working with shortcodes in pages.
ReplyDeleteTeam page: http://www.c4sl.eu/company/team/
Admin page: http://www.c4sl.eu/wp-content/uploads/teamadmin.jpg (I’d like to add e-mailoption to Team-options as soon as an e-mail button is available. Now its only linkedin)
Hi David,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the feature requests! I’ll be sure to add these to our requested features and revisit this on the next update.
Thanks again!
Andre
Does this theme support landscape mode images of mobile apps? We are looking for a mobile game landing theme with only landscape mode images.
ReplyDeleteHi Ennavi,
ReplyDeleteThe theme will take any size image – it will automatically size the width depending on the layout you choose. You can absolutely upload landscape mode images of mobile apps.
Let me know if you have any other questions!

Hey Andre, I bought this theme a few years ago, its by far my favorite WP theme. I convinced my company to use it for their new marketing website project (They purchased a new license). When I try to login to your support forum on this account, I am unable to – keep getting an error creating user. Have my support forum privileges expired? Do I need to use the new company account or something?
ReplyDeleteHi Atsmith,
ReplyDeleteGlad you like the theme! However, it does look like your support license has expired. Have you purchased a license with your company account? If so, you’ll want to access support using that account.
